The Chocolatada is a tradition throughout Peru, where those that are more well off provide hot chocolate, Christmas bread, and gifts to the children in poorer communities. Since 2002, Andean Textile Arts has adopted Chocolatadas as a special project and has expanded them to include children and elders in all ten villages associated with the Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco. Subscribe to our mailing list to find out how you can give to a Chocolatada during the holiday season.
